The latest XP DEUS Bootcamp training session was held in Gulfport, MS on January 17th, 2015. The experience level of those in attendance ranged from years to just one day! The individual with one day under their belt used a DEUS loaner unit provided by the bootcamp staff. The feedback from even the most seasoned of hunters was that they learned things about the DEUS metal detector that they had not known before.
There was a combination of a classroom session to build a solid foundation and an in-field session where the bootcamp instructors had laid out multiple test gardens. The test gardens held a wide range of targets and challenges to show how slight adjustments on the DEUS metal detector can make a huge difference in the field. Attendees left Gulfport with a clear understanding of how to tune their DEUS for their local conditions.
Thankfully the weather warmed up from a chilly 34 degrees Fahrenheit in the morning to the mid 60’s in the afternoon when the in-field portion kicked off. A number of great natural finds turned up including older coins, tokens, a few pieces of jewelry and the usual assortment of “what are they” finds. Input from experienced DEUS users throughout the day added to the overall experience of everyone in attendance.
Let the next Bootcamp show you how to get the most out of your DEUS!
Bootcamp agenda has been designed to be both enjoyable and informative. It is a day intended to get you comfortable with all aspects of the DEUS metal detector and confident in its use. During the in-field portion, there will be both planted
targets in a test garden allowing you to see how slight adjustments can make a big difference in terms of what you bring home. There will be natural targets as well that will test your skills as you seek them out. A wide assortment of targets will be available, so that you can see how each responds and then use them to create custom patterns for the type of hunting you do. Hands-on experience is priceless in putting what you’ve learned into practice. When you get home, you will KNOW how to put your DEUS to use and most importantly, UNDERSTAND what it is telling you.
The next Bootcamp will be in the Charlotte, NC area on
February 21, 2015 new date: March 21, 2015. If you want to unlock the full potential of the DEUS, there are still a few seats left! For complete details visit the XP DEUS Boot Camp website.
